How is IPL different from waxing?
• Waxing removes hair from the follicle and regrows in approx 4-6 weeks.
• IPL stops the follicle from producing further growth of the hair. It uses selective heating through absorption of light. The light is absorbed by the melanin in your hair, resulting in the generation of heat, causing surrounding cells to die, preventing the hair follicle from producing further growth. However, there are many dormant hair follicles that can commence growing at any time.
